FAQ

How do I register my details with the THC Investor Group?

By registering your details with the THC Investor Group, you will be kept up to date on our campaign to recover as much of your investments as possible. You will be part of a large group and have a greater voice in what we hope to achieve.

As a member of our group, you will have access to our own secure online system called “Slack”.

To register, please provide evidence that you are a genuine investor with THC and send it to:

thcmoneyrecovery@gmail.com

The evidence needed is a screenshot of your profile page from The House Crowd website.

It must show your name and email address as a minimum.

If you are an investor via Seedrs then please send a screenshot of your share certificate.

Once we have validated the screenshot, the email will be deleted from the system and you will be given access to Slack.

We hope to have you enrolled within 7 days but if you have not heard from us in that time, feel free to send us a gentle reminder.

How often does the Steering Group meet?

The Steering Group currently meets once a month.

What contact do we have with the Administrator?

Two members of the Steering Group meet with the Administrators once every two weeks and present our questions.  The Administrators review our questions and post the questions with their responses to their web portal for all to view.

Why are the WhatsApp group and Facebook page no longer used?

The Steering Group has decided that the best way to manage investor needs is via this website and our online system Slack.  Slack allows us to manage the membership as only verified investors are included.

Why do I see "419 | Page Expired" when logging in to the HouseCrowd website?

This error message occurs if you click on the login button more than once. To successfully login to the website you MUST CLICK ONCE AND WAIT. Your patience will be rewarded!

What is Slack?

Slack is a channel-based messaging platform. With Slack, we can work together more effectively, and communicate within a secure, enterprise-grade environment.

I am new to Slack and finding out what is going on.  How do I get up to speed?

Visit the Documents Page on this website (you will need the password which can be found in the #password channel on Slack). There, at the top of the page you will find a document to download called "HC Investor Support Group Q&A".  Hopefully, you will find all that you need, otherwise, post a message on the #general channel on Slack, and other investors will be pleased to guide you.

What are the rules for using our Slack platform?

1. No defamation, inflammatory, or libellous comments.
Any posts with such comments will have to be supported by evidence, not hearsay.  If uncertain, message the admins prior to posting to avoid being removed.

2. No promotions on site.
No soliciting or promoting or arranging of goods or services on or off-site. Admins have the final decision on the above.

3. No email collection.
This is a private group, please respect the privacy of our members. If they do not respond to an Instant Message, do not insist on contact.

4. No persistent postings.
No persistent, repetitive postings on the same topic. Too many posts from the same author on the same subject bury the really useful information for others.

5. This group is run for the benefit of ALL verified THC investors.
Admins have the final decision on all the above rules. We do not like rules, but we have to have them as gate crashers and trouble makers are about.

6. NOTHING on this site is Legal or Investment Advice.
Everything on this site should NOT be treated as investment or legal advice or recommendation. It is the poster's own personal opinions however presented.

7. Legal opinion needs to be supported.
Any legal opinion offered by investors must include reference to precedence or statute.

8. We cannot enter into prolonged discussions.
Whilst the Steering Group and its members like to answer and assist where possible, we cannot, due to time limitations, enter into prolonged discussions or multi-layered questions and answer sessions.

9. Be kind and courteous.
We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

10. No swearing.
Especially when aimed at others in this group.

There is no Slack channel shown for my investment, why?

A Slack channel will be opened once we have an official confirmation/response from the Administrator on its status. We do not want to report on or encourage speculation on the specific investments until we have an official update from the Administrators.

Where can I find the password for the Documents page on the website?

A new password will be issued on the first of the month in the #password channel on Slack.

Why are investors not treated as creditors?

The investors, whether direct or via ISA/AI are lenders to the various developments and loans, ie creditors but they are not creditors of the companies that are in administration, other than HCD023.

Anyone invested in HCD023 will be classed as a creditor as HCD023 is separately in administration and therefore the Administrators of that company will treat the investors/lenders as creditors. None of the other developments are in administration.

The above has been confirmed by the Administrators.

How do I fill in the THC Money Recovery Census Form?

THC Money Recovery Census

Many of our members represent other people who have not joined Slack e.g. family members. We would like to have a more precise idea of the size of our group which would include these unregistered Slack investors. This will provide us with a more accurate number of investors that we represent without needing to know their personal details. We would be very grateful if you would choose the number of people that you represent. If you only represent yourself, choose "1" as your answer.

Click on the link above to access the Census Form.
